Job description
- The role would involve supporting client primary analysts to arrive at / monitor credit ratings for issuers across various industries. Analysis would cover surveillance of a portfolio of companies as well as responding to market events that could potentially lead to a change in ratings.
- Analyze business performance, including:
- Industry dynamics and regulatory trends
- Evaluating country and macroeconomic risk
- Competitive and market position
- Strategy / execution / management of the companies
- Trends in profitability and peer comparisons
- Analyze financial performance, including:
- Understanding accounting standards
- Financial governance and policies
- Analysis of financial ratios and trends
- Liquidity / short-term factors
- Understanding the capital structure of companies
- Assist the primary analyst(s) in the preparation of in-depth financial models – historical and projections.
- Prepare comprehensive internal credit research reports and notes covering the aforementioned operational and financial factors.
- Assist primary analyst(s) in preparing publishable credit reports.
- Strictly practice and follow all compliance, confidentiality and information security policies and procedures and related guidelines of the organization.
Qualification
- Prior experience in analysing company’s financial and operational performance
- Sharp analytical thought process
- Understanding of accounting and financial analysis and concepts
- Good Microsoft excel skills.
- Good English oral and written communication skills.
