Job Description
Procurement Manager
Red River Workspace \| Gillette, WY \| Full-Time \| Salary: $60,000 – $90,000/year
About Red River Workspace
Red River Workspace is a custom fabrication and industrial solutions company based in Gillette, WY. We build pressure vessels for clients in the oil \& gas, industrial, and municipal markets. We move fast, hold high standards, and take pride in doing work that matters.
We're growing — and we need a Procurement Specialist who can grow with us.
The Role
We're looking for a driven, detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to own our materials and vendor management function. This isn't a "place purchase orders and wait" kind of job. You'll be the person who builds our vendor relationships from the ground up, tightens our material processes, and makes sure the right materials show up on time, every time — so our production team can execute without interruption.
You'll work directly within our Business Development division alongside project managers, estimators, and designers to make sure jobs are fully resourced before they ever hit the shop floor.
What You'll Own
- Vendor Relationships — Build, develop, and manage a trusted network of material and supply vendors. This means picking up the phone, visiting suppliers, negotiating terms, and becoming the person they want to work with.
- Material Procurement — Source and purchase materials for fabrication projects (steel, fittings, flanges, specialty items, consumables) aligned to project timelines and budget targets.
- Systems \& Processes — Take ownership of our procurement workflows inside Tangle ERP and coordinate with the team to improve how we track, receive, and manage materials from quote through delivery.
- Cost Management — Track material costs against estimates, identify savings opportunities, and flag variances before they become problems.
- Receiving \& Inventory — Oversee incoming material verification, maintain accurate inventory records, and ensure materials are staged and ready for production.
- Supplier Development — Evaluate vendor performance, resolve quality or delivery issues, and continuously improve who we're doing business with and on what terms.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain — preferably in fabrication, manufacturing, construction, or an industrial environment
- Strong communicator who can build real relationships with vendors and internal teams alike
- Proficient with ERP or purchasing software; comfortable learning new systems quickly
- Detail-oriented and organized — tracks open POs, lead times, and delivery commitments without letting anything fall through the cracks
- Self-starter who sees a problem and fixes it rather than waiting to be told
Our Core Values
We hire people who live these — not just talk about them.
High Standards — You're disciplined, detail-oriented, and never satisfied with "good enough." You hold yourself and the work to a higher bar.
Intensity — You bring urgency and energy to your work. You make decisions, move fast, and do whatever it takes to get the job done right.
Takes Ownership — No excuses. You're accountable, teachable, and when something goes wrong, you fix it. Full stop.
