Application \& Cloud Security Engineer

. This role is responsible for operating application security tooling, strengthening Azure cloud security posture, and leading vulnerability management efforts across application and infrastructure environments.

MUST LIVE within 55 miles of Detroit Michigan.

Job Duties

• Operate and maintain application security tools including DAST, SAST, and SCA platforms
• Integrate automated security testing into CI/CD pipelines alongside development and DevOps teams
• Analyze security scan results and guide teams on prioritizing and remediating vulnerabilities
• Support container security by ensuring base images are maintained and updated
• Assess and harden Azure environments across IaaS and PaaS services
• Configure and monitor Azure security tools including Defender for Cloud, Entra ID, and Sentinel
• Conduct infrastructure vulnerability assessments and drive remediation activities
• Maintain and manage the organization’s security ticketing workflow for vulnerability tracking

Skills \& Experience

Required

• 5–8 years of experience in application security, cloud security, or infrastructure security
• Experience with application security testing tools (DAST, SAST, SCA)
• Experience integrating security controls within CI/CD pipelines
• Experience securing Azure cloud environments (IaaS and PaaS)
• Experience with Microsoft Defender for Cloud for vulnerability and posture management
• Experience with Azure identity security using Entra ID
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, or related field

Desired

• Experience with Azure Sentinel or other SIEM/SOAR platforms
• Experience implementing security policies for infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, ARM, or Bicep
• Experience with container security and base image management
• Experience supporting vulnerability remediation programs in cloud or hybrid environments
• CISSP certification
• CISM certification
• AZ-500 (Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate)
• CySA\+ or CEH certification
