Job Description
About the position
The Strategy Consulting Manager serves as the critical link between the work plan defined with the client and the high-quality execution delivered by the Novara Advisory team. Beyond coordinating activities, this professional is expected to exercise autonomy and sharp judgment — leading smaller engagements independently while acting as a true thought partner to senior leadership on more complex mandates, contributing to hypothesis refinement, expectation management, and the development of deliverables.
This role is designed for professionals who thrive in intellectually demanding environments and seek direct exposure to high-impact strategic decisions at leading companies across their sectors
Trajectory and Growth
Novara Advisory is a firm in the making — and that is precisely the opportunity. The Strategy Consulting Manager joining today enters at a foundational moment, with direct access to senior partners and meaningful exposure to high-impact engagements from day one.
For professionals with ambition, consistent performance, and genuine alignment with Novara's values, the path forward is clear: from Manager to Senior Manager and, for those who truly distinguish themselves, a trajectory toward partnership. We are not simply offering a position — we are offering the chance to build something that matters, together
Key responsibilities:
·
Project Scoping \& Planning
: Structure engagements from kick-off through completion — defining objectives, deliverables, and milestone schedules, and ensuring full alignment between client and team before execution begins.
·
Execution \& Quality Oversight
: Lead the day-to-day work of the consulting team, maintaining adherence to timelines, budgets, and deliverable quality standards, with clear and consistent reporting to senior partners on project progress.
·
Documentation \& Knowledge Management:
Maintain organized, up-to-date project documentation — including meeting minutes, status reports, and project charters — and ensure that insights and methodologies generated are captured in ways that create lasting value for both the firm and the client.
·
Stakeholder \& Client Relationship Management
: Serve as the client's primary point of contact throughout the engagement — facilitating status meetings, anticipating deviations, and communicating progress with clarity and objectivity. Build relationships grounded in trust that extend beyond the immediate project.
·
Client Development
: Support partners in nurturing post-engagement relationships by identifying opportunities for continuity, scope expansion, or new mandates — contributing to the development of a base of recurring, long-term clients.
·
Business Development
: Assist partners in identifying and qualifying opportunities with prospective clients — participating in early-stage conversations, preparing firm credentials and pitch materials, and contributing to the advancement of the sales pipeline.
·
Proposal Development:
Structure and draft commercial proposals — defining scope, approach, timeline, and team composition — with the analytical rigor and clarity of presentation required to establish credibility and generate confidence from the first interaction.
Key requirements for the position:
· 1–4 years of hands-on experience in project management, ideally in strategy or management consulting
· Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, economics, or a related field — a strong academic record is important
· Business-level English proficiency, both written and spoken, required for engagement with investors and international counterparts
· Proficiency in project management and productivity tools, including LLMs, MS Project, advanced Excel, and PowerPoint
· Clear, assertive, and well-structured communication — written and verbal — with clients and cross-functional teams
· Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously, with sharp prioritization and a strong sense of urgency
· Consistent results orientation and a proactive approach to problem-solving
· Solid foundation in financial modeling and valuation
· Intellectual curiosity, high work intensity, and disciplined execution
· Entrepreneurial mindset and genuine team spirit — essential for thriving in a fast-growing, early-stage firm
Key Differentiators
· Prior experience in strategy consulting
· MBA, CFA, or postgraduate degree with a demonstrated record of academic excellence
· Familiarity with financial products, instruments, and market operations
· Proficiency in additional languages beyond English and Portuguese
Additional Information
· Position based in São Paulo, SP
· In-person work model — at our office or at client sites, as required
