About The Role
We’re looking for a Head of Product to strategically guide and develop the end-to-end product lifecycle—from concept through commercialization—with a strong emphasis on scientific rigor, clinical validation, and claims substantiation.
This role sits at the intersection of product, science, and brand, and will be responsible for building a best-in-class innovation engine that translates consumer needs into differentiated, evidence-backed products.
You will lead product roadmap execution, oversee clinical study design and implementation, and ensure all claims and scientific communications are credible, compliant, and compelling.
What You’ll Do
Product Strategy \& Roadmap
- Own and execute Beam’s product roadmap across our core products and new categories
- Translate consumer insights, emerging trends, and scientific advancements into product opportunities
- Prioritize initiatives based on business impact, feasibility, and brand alignment
- Drive cross-functional execution with operations, growth and creative teams
Product Development \& Innovation
- Lead end-to-end product development- from ideation and formulation through commercialization
- Partner with R\&D, manufacturers, and ingredient suppliers to develop differentiated formulations
- Establish scalable processes for innovation, testing, and iteration
Clinical Studies \& Scientific Validation
- Design and oversee clinical trials and studies to validate product efficacy
- Identify and partner with research organizations, labs, and academic institutions
- Ensure studies are methodologically sound, on-brand, and aligned with claims strategy
- Translate scientific findings into actionable insights for product and marketing
Claims \& Scientific Affairs
- Own claims development and substantiation across all products
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (FDA, FTC, etc.)
- Partner closely with marketing and creative to develop clear, credible, and differentiated messaging
- Build and maintain a robust scientific narrative for the brand
Who You Are
- 5-8\+ years of experience in product innovation, R\&D, or product leadership within supplements, functional CPG, or adjacent categories
- Strong background in nutritional science, biochemistry, pharmacology, or a related field (advanced degree preferred)
- Proven experience leading clinical studies and/or working with scientific research partners
- Deep understanding of claims substantiation and regulatory frameworks in the supplement space
- Track record of bringing successful products to market
- Highly strategic but equally comfortable operating in the weeds
- Strong cross-functional operator who can drive alignment and execution
