About the Opportunity

We are seeking a senior-level Cloud Engineer to serve as the technical lead for cloud infrastructure initiatives. This role will be responsible for improving the security, reliability, scalability, and overall performance of a growing cloud environment while helping establish engineering standards and best practices across the organization.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on cloud professional who enjoys architecting solutions, automating infrastructure, and driving modernization efforts.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure and services
• Evaluate existing cloud architecture and recommend improvements for security, performance, reliability, and cost optimization
• Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and automation solutions
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
• Establish monitoring, alerting, disaster recovery, and resiliency strategies
• Partner with engineering teams to define cloud standards, governance, and best practices
• Lead technical discussions and provide mentorship through expertise and collaboration
• Support security initiatives including access controls, compliance, and vulnerability remediation

Qualifications

• 7\+ years of experience in cloud engineering, cloud architecture, or infrastructure engineering
• Strong experience with AWS and/or other major cloud platforms
• Hands-on expertise with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Strong understanding of cloud security principles and best practices
• Experience with monitoring, observability, and performance optimization tools
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading cloud modernization initiatives
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies
• Experience supporting highly available, customer-facing platforms

The projected hourly range for this position is $150 - 170
