GCP Cloud Engineer – Riyadh

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deploy scalable, secure, and highly available solutions on GCP using services such as Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Run, and App Engine
• Implement infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Deployment Manager
• Support hybrid cloud setups integrating on-premises infrastructure with GCP
• Monitor and maintain cloud environments using Google Cloud Operations Suite (formerly Stackdriver)
• Ensure uptime, performance optimization, and proactive incident management across multiple projects
• Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term fixes
• Configure and manage IAM roles, service accounts, and policies in GCP
• Implement security best practices across networking, compute, and storage layers
• Ensure compliance with enterprise security standards and frameworks
• Design and manage VPCs, subnets, load balancers, VPNs, and Interconnects
• Optimize network performance and cost within GCP environments
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Cloud Build, GitHub Actions, Jenkins
• Automate deployments and operational workflows
• Work closely with DevOps, application teams, and architects to ensure seamless delivery
• Provide L2/L3 support for cloud-related incidents

Required Qualifications \& Skills

• Experience:
• 8\+ years in cloud engineering, with 2 years in GCP environments
• Infrastructure as Code:
• Strong experience with Terraform or equivalent tools
• Scripting \& Automation:
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages
• Monitoring \& Logging:
• Hands-on experience with Cloud Monitoring, Logging, and Alerting tools
• DevOps Practices:
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
