Job Overview
Parallelle is seeking a Director of Operations to lead the day-to-day operational function of the business while helping build the foundation for our next phase of growth. Reporting directly to the Co-CEO, this role will oversee fulfillment, logistics, inventory management, warehouse operations, customer service support, wholesale compliance, and operational systems. The Director of Operations will serve as the operational leader for the organization, ensuring strong execution across all channels while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, strengthen processes, and support continued growth.
This role will directly manage two members of the Operations team and will be responsible for providing leadership, mentorship, and professional development. The ideal candidate is a hands-on operator who enjoys developing people, building strong processes, and creating clarity within a growing organization.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Leadership
- Lead the daily operations of the business across fulfillment, logistics, inventory management, customer service support, and wholesale operations
- Establish and monitor key performance metrics to ensure operational efficiency, service excellence, and accountability
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce inefficiencies, and strengthen operational performance
- Partner with leadership to support operational planning, resource allocation, and business initiatives
Team Leadership \& Development
- Directly manage, mentor, and develop two members of the Operations team
- Provide coaching, guidance, and support to help team members strengthen their operational knowledge and professional skills
- Establish clear priorities, goals, and accountability across the department
- Foster a collaborative, solutions-oriented environment focused on continuous improvement
- Support the ongoing development of the Operations function as the business evolves
Fulfillment, Logistics \& Distribution
- Oversee fulfillment operations across both direct-to-consumer and wholesale channels, ensuring accurate and timely order execution
- Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers, carriers, and freight partners
- Monitor fulfillment performance and implement improvements that enhance service levels and operational efficiency
- Support long-term distribution planning and operational readiness initiatives as the business continues to grow
Warehouse \& Inventory Management
- Oversee receiving, inventory control, order fulfillment, returns processing, and warehouse-related operations
- Establish inventory management practices that support accuracy, visibility, and operational efficiency
- Partner with Finance and Production on inventory forecasting, planning, reporting, and reconciliation activities
- Support future warehouse and distribution initiatives, including process development, operational planning, and scalability efforts
Wholesale Operations \& Compliance
- Oversee retailer compliance requirements, routing guides, EDI processes, and chargeback management
- Serve as the operational lead for SPS Commerce and wholesale fulfillment compliance
- Partner with Sales and Customer Service teams to support successful retailer execution and account performance
- Develop processes that improve retailer scorecards and reduce operational deductions
Systems \& Process Improvement
- Lead the operational ownership and optimization of NetSuite WMS
- Maintain strong working knowledge of Shopify operational workflows and order management processes
- Develop and maintain SOPs, workflows, reporting tools, and operational documentation
- Identify opportunities for automation, process improvement, and operational efficiencies across the business
Experience and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field preferred
- 10\+ years of progressive operations leadership experience within a consumer products, beauty, accessories, lifestyle, or direct-to-consumer brand
- Hands-on experience overseeing fulfillment, inventory management, warehouse operations, logistics, and customer service support functions
- Strong knowledge of SPS Commerce, EDI compliance, routing guides, retailer requirements, and chargeback management
- Experience with NetSuite WMS, including implementation, optimization, migration, or operational ownership
- Strong operational fluency within Shopify and direct-to-consumer fulfillment environments
- Experience managing third-party logistics providers, parcel carriers, and freight partners
- Proven ability to build processes, improve operational performance, and develop team members
Preferred Experience
- Experience supporting warehouse launches, distribution center expansions, facility transitions, or other large-scale operational initiatives
- Experience working within a high-growth consumer products environment
- International logistics, import/export, and wholesale distribution experience

- The Operations team is engaged, supported, and continuing to grow professionally
- Leadership has confidence in operational reporting, execution, and overall department performance
- The business is well-positioned to support future growth, evolving distribution needs, and increased operational complexity
Salary Disclosure and Benefits
Parallelle is committed to offering a competitive and equitable compensation package based on experience and qualifications. The salary range for this position is $110,000 to $125,000, with flexibility for the right candidate. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including 100% employer-paid medical coverage for employees, along with PTO, and additional perks aligned with company policies.
