Job Description
Alora Behavioral Health is seeking a
Human Resources Manager
to support and oversee high-volume HR operations in a fast-paced environment. This role is ideal for an experienced HR professional with strong expertise in
leave management, HR operations, compliance, and employee relations documentation
.
The Human Resources Manager will play a key role in managing complex leave cases, supporting HR processes across the employee lifecycle, maintaining compliance documentation, and improving operational workflows. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage high-volume work in a remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
Leave Management
- Manage high-volume employee leave programs including FMLA, CFRA, ADA, pregnancy disability leave, workers' compensation-related leave, and other applicable programs
- Oversee leave cases from intake through resolution including documentation, tracking, employee communication, and return-to-work coordination
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local leave laws
HR Operations
- Support high-volume HR operations across the employee lifecycle
- Build and improve HR systems, workflows, templates, and tracking tools
- Maintain accurate HR documentation and reporting
Employee Relations Documentation
- Conduct HR intake for employee concerns and workplace issues
- Draft disciplinary documentation including written warnings and corrective actions
- Develop and manage Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs)
Performance Management
- Oversee performance review processes and timelines
- Partner with managers to ensure consistent and accurate documentation
- Support improvements to performance management systems and processes
Onboarding Oversight
- Oversee onboarding workflows and documentation
- Ensure compliance with pre-employment and new hire processes
- Monitor onboarding efficiency and recommend improvements
Compliance and Audits
- Conduct monthly I-9 audits and personnel file audits
- Maintain HR compliance documentation and reporting
- Support federal and state HR reporting requirements
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of high-volume leave management experience
- Strong experience in HR operations and compliance
- Experience drafting disciplinary documentation and PIPs
- Experience supporting performance management processes
- Experience conducting HR audits and managing compliance documentation
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a high-volume environment
- Ability to work remotely during Pacific Time business hours
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting multi-state HR operations
- Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, or multi-site organizations
- HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP)
