Senior Software Engineer – Developer Productivity (Configuration \& Experimentation)

We're looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join our Developer Productivity organization. This team is responsible for improving the engineering experience by building the platforms that developers use to develop, test, deploy, and manage software at scale.

In this role, you'll drive the evolution of configuration management and experimentation platforms that support feature flagging, dynamic configuration, and A/B testing across engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the technical roadmap for configuration and experimentation platforms.
• Collaborate with deployment, testing, and platform engineering teams to deliver scalable solutions.
• Design, build, and maintain distributed systems supporting feature flags and configuration management.
• Develop reliable infrastructure and reusable libraries that power experimentation at scale.
• Build tools that enable safe deployments, controlled rollouts, and data-driven experimentation.
• Improve engineering productivity through standardized frameworks, tooling, and best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with configuration management, feature flagging, or experimentation platforms.
• Proficiency in Python, Go (Golang), and/or Rust.
• Experience building distributed systems and cloud infrastructure.
• Passion for improving developer workflows and engineering efficiency.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to solve complex technical challenges with minimal direction.

Preferred Qualifications

• 10\+ years of software engineering experience.
• 3\+ years leading large-scale engineering initiatives or serving as a technical lead.
• Experience with platforms such as Statsig, GrowthBook, LaunchDarkly, Optimizely, Unleash, or similar solutions.
• Knowledge of experimentation concepts including randomization, user assignment, metrics collection, and statistical analysis.
• Experience implementing gradual rollouts, targeting strategies, kill switches, and dynamic configuration.
• Background building developer tools, internal APIs, CLI utilities, and CI/CD automation.
