FP \& A and Compensation Analyst

The APAC FP \& A and Compensation team at Millennium (a global multi strategy hedge fund) is responsible for performing business analysis, supports the identification, evaluation and qualification of market access opportunities.

In addition, the team is responsible for delivering strong economic insights for senior management, reporting and analysis of portfolio managers compensation which is an integral expense for the firm. We are looking for someone with strong analytics skills and finance rigor to join our team.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Partner with businesses and develop financial models which can be used to assess financial impact of various strategic business opportunities
  • Analyze deal structure and economics to assess strategic fit
  • Prepare various monthly and quarterly financial dashboards with good business insights for senior management reflecting actual results, and comparisons to forecasts / budgets
  • Prepare portfolio manager compensation reporting and analysis to senior management
  • Responsible for handling portfolio manager compensation calculation
  • Ad-hoc projects as needed

Qualifications/Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Finance or related field is preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience in investment banking, consulting, corporate development, private equity or transaction advisory research
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills (Pivot tables, macros, VBA); Knowledge of Tableau a plus
  • Advanced quantitative and problem solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communications with the ability to communicate with senior management, peers and professional staff
  • Excellent attention to detail with a dedication to accuracy, quality, and integrity
  • Quick learner, Detail oriented; Demonstrable thoroughness and strong ownership of work
  • Good team player with a strong willingness to participate and help others.
  • Able to prioritize with high sense of urgency in a fast moving, high pressure, constantly changing environment
