The Account Manager/ Sr Account Manager, In-Market Global Sales, is part of the Global Sales team within the Commercial Division. You will drive revenue growth and customer engagement by executing strategic sales initiatives in collaboration with cross-functional partners. This role works with a diverse customer base from small businesses to global corporations, delivering tailored travel solutions in a fast-paced, evolving environment that values innovation, adaptability, and professional development.

- Build and maintain relationships with key industry stakeholders, serving as a visible and knowledgeable trusted advisor of American Airlines within the local market
- Support the execution of regional sales strategies and deliver on-the-ground market presence, targeted customer outreach, event activations, and loyalty-driven engagement that strengthen relationships and advance sales objectives
- Represent American Airlines at local industry events, trade organizations, and business community engagements to strengthen commercial partnerships and brand presence
- Gather and share local market intelligence with stakeholders including competitive dynamics, customer behavior, and emerging trends to inform sales strategy
- Utilize data and market analysis to identify new business opportunities and support sales strategy across current and prospective accounts
- Knowledge of American Airlines' product and competitive positioning to serve as a credible local resource for customers and partners
- Partner with internal stakeholders including Airport Operations, Premium Guest Services, and Government Affairs to improve customer experience and ensure a consistent and integrated approach to market engagement
- Align regional efforts with global marketing initiatives, ensuring messaging, content strategies, and campaign execution are tailored to local market dynamics while supporting enterprise-wide sales objectives
All you'll need for success
Minimum Qualifications- Education \& Prior Job Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
3\+ years of experience in sales
Strong understanding of the airline industry and American Airlines' products and services
Preferred Qualifications- Education \& Prior Job Experience
3\+ years of experience in sales, with a focus on managing existing client relationships
MBA or advanced degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
Experience working with CRM software and sales analytics tools
Familiarity with American Airlines' systems and processes
Skills, Licenses \& Certifications
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
Ability to analyze complex data and develop effective sales strategies
Strong understanding of the airline industry and American Airlines' products and services
CRM software and sales analytics tools (e.g. Salesforce, Tableau)
American Airlines' systems and processes (e.g. Sabre, Amadeus)
