We offer an exciting opportunity to become part of our UNIQuants team, which is responsible for a wide range of actuarial tasks across the UNIQA Group. The UNIQuants setup gives you a unique chance to learn, gain insights, and work closely with our headquarters in Vienna. You will join a flexible team that opens doors to diverse and evolving business roles. You will collaborate with field experts, work with advanced modelling tools, and contribute to innovation and efficiency across our processes. In addition, you can look forward to continuous knowledge exchange with experts from international business units across the entire UNIQA Group.

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with experienced colleagues to develop and maintain codes for various actuarial and risk processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in data processing.
  • Analyze data and assist in developing actuarial models.
  • Contribute to Non-Life parameterization for our approved internal model for the UNIQA insurance subsidiaries
  • Contribute to ongoing projects focused on automatization of actuarial processes.
  • Participate in testing to ensure reliability of the implemented solutions.
  • Gain hands-on experience in various actuarial processes.

Your skills \& qualifications

  • Master’s degree in actuarial science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or another quantitative field
  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar position (including part time experience during studies).
  • Advanced skills in at least one programming language (preferably SAS, R or VBA, but also other programming languages are fine)
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Proactive, reliable team player with developed problem-solving skills.
  • Independent, customer-oriented, and self-reliant working style.
  • Prior experience in insurance is a plus.
