Job Description
CommonAI CIC is a non-profit membership organisation, founded on a belief in collaborative engineering for the safe and responsible development of foundational AI technologies. A place where AI startups, enterprises large and small, public sector bodies and academia can share resources and knowledge, to codevelop and grow businesses, fast.
You will be responsible for ensuring that our platform is scalable, secure and resilient. We are looking for a security expert who can be responsible for security across our IT, software development and production environments.
We work with multiple cloud vendors so need someone with deep knowledge of platform security who can apply it across familiar and unfamiliar cloud environments. Specific responsibilities will include:
- Working with the CommonAI software team to ensure our environment is secure by design
- Implementing security best practices across the company for all IT, development and production environments
- Working with customers to ensure that their use of our platform and services is secure
Requirements
- A practical, hands on approach and ability to work across layers of the stack when needed
- Strong experience with cloud infrastructure and platform security on AWS and other hyperscalers
- Deep understanding of IAM \& identity federation
- Networking expertise (VPC/VNet, subnets, routing, VPNs, private endpoints)
- Knowledge of compute orchestration (Kubernetes, VMs, serverless)
- Cloud cost optimisation and resource governance
- Programming experience for IaC in Python, Go, Bash or similar
- Ability to work with key customers to troubleshoot production problems
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
Desirable
- Experience working with AI workloads is a bonus
- We also value experience working with secure multi-tenancy environments, HPC administration and working with SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS
