Data Architect

This is a client facing, delivery focused role within a growing Data \& AI practice with an established tech consultancy in Dublin city centre. You will lead the end-to-end design and delivery of data architectures in complex environments, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and analytics ready.

The ideal candidate is a strategic designer, not a data engineer. You must be able to translate business requirements into technical designs and data models that bridge the gap between vision and implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design of enterprise data architectures for AI, reporting, and analytics.
• Work with clients to resolve technical data debt and translate their requirements into specific tech stacks.
• Create conceptual, logical, and physical data models, including relational and dimensional designs.
• Embed data governance, quality, and security controls into every design.
• Contribute to bids, tenders, and proposal development to help shape new client offerings.
• Act as an individual contributor while taking responsibility for career coaching, mentoring, and the technical development of junior teams and future managers.

Required Skills \& Experience

• 5\+ years of experience as a Data Architect. Background in consultancy or large-scale industry (ideally Financial Services) is preferred.
• Proficiency in SQL and hands-on experience with integration tools such as ADF, SSIS, Kafka, or Talend.
• Experience with data warehouses, lakehouses, and platforms like Databricks or Snowflake.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously within Agile or hybrid models.
