Job Description
Electrical Engineer Opportunity
Dive into the heart of industrial power systems as an Electrical Engineer, where you'll design, build, and optimize cutting-edge electrical setups that keep manufacturing lines humming. Tackle everything from high-voltage distributions to automation controls, solving real-world challenges with motors, drives, and induction heaters to ensure peak performance and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Power Systems Design: Craft AC/DC and low/high voltage distribution networks, including motor control centers, variable frequency drives, transformers, switchgear, and busway systems. Pick top-notch components like induction, synchronous, servo, and stepper motors to power advanced process gear.
- Schematics and Docs: Create detailed wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and single-line drawings using SolidWorks Electrical. Build out specs, as-built drawings, and guides to keep everything running smoothly.
- Installation and Troubleshooting: Lead on-site setups, startups, and fixes for power systems and equipment. Diagnose issues with motors, drives, and single/three-phase loads to get operations back online fast.
- Maintenance and Optimization: Keep furnace induction systems at max efficiency with smart preventive plans. Inspect, upgrade, and decide on repairs or replacements to boost uptime, extend gear life, and cut costs through clever improvements.
- Automation and Data: Team up on PLC programming, logic, HMIs, sensors, and actuators. Set up SCADA systems for real-time monitoring and control of dynamic processes.
- Teamwork and Mentoring: Collaborate with mechanical, controls, and ops pros, plus vendors and contractors. Share your expertise through hands-on training for electricians, operators, and fellow engineers.
Must-Haves
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (power systems focus a plus).
- At least 3 years hands-on experience with electrical systems in manufacturing, including 3-phase and 480-volt power distribution. 10 years hands-on experience would be ideal.
- Proven skills in commissioning and troubleshooting industrial gear like motors, drives, fuses, starters, contactors, capacitors, circuit breakers, transformers, and switchgear.
- Expertise in low/medium/high voltage power design, including MCCs, VFDs, and busways.
- SolidWorks Electrical or similar for design work.
- Knowledge of electrical codes, protective relaying, relay coordination, and arc flash strategies.
- Familiarity with PLCs (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley), HMI/SCADA, and industrial protocols.
- Sharp communication and ability to juggle projects independently.
If you're passionate about powering the future of manufacturing with your electrical wizardry, this role offers thrilling challenges and the chance to make a real impact!
