As we expand our team, we are seeking a dynamic Associate Consultant for Private School Admission to join us.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a passionate Associate Consultant for Private School Admission to join our team in New York City. This role involves guiding international students and their families through the private school admission process, ensuring a seamless and successful application experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Report to the Director or Senior Consultant of K-12/Boarding Admissions weekly on all case progress and updates
  • Attend company consulting meetings and seminars to assist in strategizing for each application case
  • Evaluate students' academic records, extracurricular involvement, personal strengths, and areas for growth to support strategic school recommendations and individualized admissions planning
  • Assist senior consultants in developing individualized application strategies based on each student's academic profile, interests, and long-term goals; collaborate with internal advisors and external stakeholders, including school admissions offices throughout the process
  • Create and maintain detailed application timelines, ensuring all deliverables are aligned with school requirements, deadlines, and testing schedules.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with families throughout the admissions process, serving as a primary point of contact
  • Facilitate and attend client meetings alongside the senior consultant; maintain frequent communication with families to provide updates, manage expectations, and offer personalized guidance
  • Provide comprehensive admissions support, including essay preparation. interview coaching, activity list editing, and school selection guidance; coordinate additional resources such as writing support and standardized test preparation as needed
  • Complete and submit application forms and information sheets based on each family's profile; coordinate and schedule tours and interviews on behalf of families
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with school admissions offices through school visits, information sessions, admissions events, and ongoing communication
  • Conduct research to maintain and expand the internal database, including school profiles, admissions requirements, and relevant market information
  • Track progress across multiple applications, identify risks or delays, and recommend strategic adjustments as needed
  • Contribute to internal projects focused on consulting resources, process improvement, market research, and operational efficiency
  • Support post-admission processes, including decision-making consultations, enrollment coordination, and transition planning

Required

  • Bachelor's degree or above; background in Education, Communications, Liberal Arts, or a related field preferred
  • Genuine interest in K-12 and boarding school admissions; prior exposure to the private school application process is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and proactive, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of ownership and self-management

Nice to Have

  • 1-2 years of experience in education consulting, admissions advising, or a related field
  • Familiarity with U.S. private school or boarding school admissions processes and timelines
  • Experience with standardized test preparation (SSAT, ISEE, TOEFL, etc.)
  • Strong research skills and experience maintaining databases or tracking systems
  • Prior experience working directly with students and families in an advisory capacity

Work Schedule:

This is a fully onsite position based in our Midtown East, New York City office, five days a week. Candidates must be located in or able to commute to the New York City area.
