Product Designer

Grid is a product, website and branding studio based in London. We design for clients all over the world, from hosting and SaaS companies.

We keep things relaxed but we work hard. There's no ego and no endless layers of sign-off, just a team that trusts each other and cares about doing great work. Everyone gets involved, everyone's voice counts, and the aim is always the same: produce the best product we can for every client.

We're fully remote and we like it that way. You'll have the freedom to manage your own day. In return, we expect you to own your work, communicate well and deliver.

The role

We're looking for a Product Designer who can hit the ground running. You'll know Figma inside out and be ready to work on live client projects from week one. You'll work directly with the team, not tucked away on internal tasks. It's a real chance to learn fast, build a strong portfolio and see your designs shipped.

What you'll do:

• Design websites, product interfaces and dashboards for client projects
• Build and maintain design systems in Figma: components, variables, styles and auto layout
• Turn wireframes and senior direction into polished, responsive UI across desktop, tablet and mobile
• Prepare clean, well-organised Figma files that go straight into build
• Create prototypes to test ideas and present work to clients
• Help with UX audits, competitor reviews and user flows
• Support brand work where needed: layouts, social assets, presentation decks
• Take feedback well and turn changes around quickly

What you'll need:

• 1 to 2 years' experience in product, UI or web design (agency, in-house or strong freelance work)
• Excellent Figma skills: auto layout, components and variants, variables, prototyping and tidy file structure
• A portfolio that shows real projects and your thinking, not just finished screens
• A good eye for typography, spacing, hierarchy and detail
• A solid grasp of UX basics and responsive design
• An understanding of accessibility basics (contrast, sizing, clear states)
• Clear written and spoken English, and confidence sharing your work
• The ability to work remotely, manage your own time and ask for help when you need it

Nice to have:

• Experience using AI tools in your design workflow (Claude, Figma AI or similar)
• Some knowledge of how websites are built: HTML, CSS, React or a CMS
• Experience with SaaS or B2B products
• Motion or micro-interaction design
