Our sensors are trusted by major OEMs and leading machine control companies worldwide. All engineering and manufacturing are performed onsite in Lebanon.

Position Overview

We are looking for an IT \& DevOps Lead / TechOps Engineer to own the technology that our front office, hardware and software development, and manufacturing teams depend on every day. This includes our Windows, Ubuntu, and macOS workstations and servers; Azure, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, GitLab, and Anthropic Claude services; and the networks and endpoints that connect them.

You will also own and evolve the CI/CD infrastructure behind our application development as our workflows change in response to AI-assisted development. This is a hands-on role with real leverage: an established managed service provider handles off-site backup and Microsoft-centric support under your direction, allowing you to set the standard, focus on the highest-value work, and hold the vendor accountable for the rest.

Key Responsibilities

Company-wide IT Operations

● Own the full lifecycle of Windows, Ubuntu Linux, and macOS workstations, including procurement, imaging, configuration, patching, and decommissioning.

● Administer on-premises file, license, and internal application servers, along with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Azure, Google Workspace, GitLab, and Anthropic Claude services.

● Own identity and access management end to end, including onboarding and offboarding, permissions, multi-factor authentication, and least-privilege access.

● Administer switching, wireless, VPN and remote access, firewall rules, DNS, DHCP, and segmentation across office, engineering, and manufacturing environments.

● Serve as the escalation point for support requests and determine what should be handled directly versus routed to the managed service provider.

Managed Service Provider

● Act as the single technical owner for the managed service provider relationship, defining and maintaining the boundary between in-house and outsourced responsibilities.

● Audit ticket resolution and change activity, and independently verify that off-site backups are complete and restorable through periodic restore testing.

● Own most Linux and macOS administration directly while providing the vendor with useful runbooks and context.

● Review vendor performance, spend, and renewals, and escalate when service falls short of expectations.

DevOps \& Development Infrastructure

● Own and evolve GitLab CI/CD infrastructure, including runners, pipeline definitions, build agents, nightly build-and-test systems, and virtualized macOS build environments.

● Maintain golden VM images so developers and build servers use intentionally identical environments.

● Own release automation, including version and tag validation, artifact publication, and signed-build delivery to the App Store and Google Play.

● Steward signing keys, CI secrets, and access tokens, including controls over which machines may hold them.

● Administer AI-assisted development tooling, including Anthropic Claude access, usage and cost visibility, GitLab and workstation integrations, and source-code access guardrails.

● Monitor pipeline health, resolve flaky and failing builds, and maintain a fast, trustworthy developer feedback loop.

Security, Continuity \& Documentation

● Implement and maintain endpoint protection, disk encryption, and patch compliance across Windows, Ubuntu Linux, and macOS.

● Own backup and disaster recovery as an outcome: define what must survive, verify that it does, and document how to restore it.

● Maintain accurate asset, license, and configuration inventories.

● Create and maintain runbooks that document both procedures and the reasoning behind important decisions.

Qualifications

● Five or more years of experience in IT systems administration, infrastructure, or DevOps, including meaningful time as a generalist rather than a specialist on a large team.

● Genuine multi-platform depth across Windows, Ubuntu Linux, and macOS, with the confidence to be the most knowledgeable person in the building on all three.

● Hands-on administration experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and Azure.

● Practical networking knowledge, including VLANs, firewalls, VPN, and DNS, plus the ability to diagnose unfamiliar problems.

● Working knowledge of CI/CD systems, preferably GitLab CI, including runner maintenance and pipeline configuration.

● Scripting fluency for automation in Bash, PowerShell, or Python; the instinct to automate matters more than the specific language.

● Experience managing an outside vendor or managed service provider, or a clear appetite to take on that responsibility.

● The ability to prioritize independently and judge what deserves to be done well versus done quickly.

Preferred Experience

● Supporting hardware or embedded engineering organizations, including firmware toolchains, lab equipment, and hardware-in-the-loop testing.

● Supporting manufacturing floors, including production test stations, instrumentation, and their uptime expectations.

● Virtualization, particularly macOS virtualization for build infrastructure.

● Mobile release and code-signing workflows for iOS and Android.

● Configuration management or infrastructure-as-code tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Intune, Jamf, or other MDM platforms.

● Administration of AI-assisted development tools and services.

● Working at a small business where you were the person who owned it.

Not Required

This is not a software development role. You will read and write scripts and configuration, but you will not be asked to contribute to our product code, and application or firmware development experience is not required.

Working Arrangement

The role is hybrid. Our build servers, lab equipment, manufacturing floor, and office network require someone to be physically present at times, and you should expect to be on-site whenever the work is hands-on. Outside of that, remote work is acceptable.

Pay: $75,000\.00 - $115,000\.00 per year
