Role Description
This full-time, on-site Residential Plumber role is based in Columbus, OH. The Residential Plumber will install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in homes, including pipes, fixtures, water lines, and drainage systems. Daily responsibilities include diagnosing plumbing issues, performing routine and emergency repairs, conducting preventive maintenance, and ensuring all work meets safety codes and company standards. The role involves communicating clearly with residents, providing professional recommendations, maintaining accurate service records, and collaborating with team members to support high-quality, efficient service operations. The Residential Plumber will represent Transit \& Flow® in the field, delivering reliable, courteous service that aligns with the company’s focus on performance and trust.
Qualifications
- Strong residential plumbing skills, including water heater and more installation, troubleshooting, and code-compliant repairs.
- Hands-on experience with pipes and related systems, including cutting, fitting, and replacing piping components.
- Ability to perform maintenance and repair work, including preventive maintenance and responsive service calls.
- Demonstrated customer service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, set expectations, and ensure resident satisfaction.
- Relevant trade school training, plumbing apprenticeship, or equivalent on-the-job experience.
- Valid plumbing license or certification in Ohio, or eligibility to obtain as required.
- Familiarity with safety regulations, building codes, and proper use of tools and equipment.
- Reliable transportation to job sites, punctuality, and the ability to work in a field-based, on-site environment.
- Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver equipment and materials as needed for residential plumbing work.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training and adapt to standardized processes and documentation.
