Job Description

At Claimlane we are looking for a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) who wants to take full ownership of technology, building an amazing team, and delivering software on time to help customers solve their problems.

About Claimlane

Claimlane is a rapidly growing B2B SaaS scale-up. We fix complex claims and returns processes for top retailers and brands like Matas, Coolshop, Black Diamond, and Tonies.

The role

As our CTO you will own the technical strategy, execution, and people operations to scale Claimlane from Series A to Series B to a €100M ARR business and beyond. You must build engineering into a predictable, high-performing engine.

You will bridge the gap between product vision, technical reality, and achieving our commercial goals.

You must continue to build and grow our ambitious, opinionated, and fun technical culture that great engineers love working in.

At the same time you must push hard to improve things every single day and not be afraid to swing the hammer and make decisions if required to deliver on time.

This is an extremely high ownership role, you will have a lot of responsibility but also the opportunity to grow fast and have a good time in the process.

Requirements

  • Willingness to learn fast and to push hard to get better

  • Interest in solving real and valuable problems for customers
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic scaleup-up environment
  • Interested in constantly improving personally and as a team
  • Experience building with the newest AI technologies
  • Deep understanding of modern web stack, React and NodeJS, and how to architecture complex systems.
  • Desire to eventually own technical recruitment and bring in A-players
  • Ability to design pragmatic, scalable systems where heavy B2B client implementations are abstracted into configurable workflows rather than messy, custom code.

Location and Compensation

Our office is in Nørrebro, Copenhagen. This is where you will be located.

Hiring Process

  1. Intro Call: Let’s see if we click (15–30 mins)
  2. Culture Interview: Dive into values, mindset, and team fit (1–2 hours)
  3. Technical Interview: Includes a small prep case (no coding) and live pair programming / architecture deep dive (1–3 hours). We’re flexible if you prefer another format - shine in your own way.
  4. Team Meetup: Say hi to the team (30 - 60 min)
  5. References: 3 - 6 reference calls before we make things official

Because of the seniority of the role you should expect additional interviews to our standard process mentioned above.
