Job Description
Our client is seeking a Business Development Representative (BDR) to support their Mid-Market sales organization. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and qualifying potential customers while building a strong pipeline of sales opportunities. Through outbound prospecting efforts, you will connect with decision-makers, uncover business challenges, and schedule meetings for the sales team.
The BDR will play an important role in driving revenue growth by initiating conversations with prospective clients and helping them understand how financial management solutions can support their business needs. This position requires a proactive, results-driven individual who is comfortable conducting outreach and building relationships with potential customers.
The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, is motivated by achieving measurable goals, and has strong communication and relationship-building skills. You will collaborate closely with the sales team and contribute to the overall success of the mid-market business segment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct research to identify potential mid-market prospects.
- Execute outbound prospecting through cold calling, email outreach, and other engagement strategies.
- Qualify leads based on predefined criteria and business needs.
- Initiate conversations with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Conduct discovery conversations to identify customer pain points and business objectives.
- Schedule meetings and product demonstrations for the sales team.
- Manage meeting coordination and calendar scheduling.
- Track prospect interactions and lead status within the CRM system.
- Provide relevant information and resources to prepare prospects for sales discussions.
- Monitor market trends and competitive activity within the industry.
- Share prospect insights to support sales and marketing strategies.
Required Experience / Skills
- 1–2 years of experience in sales, business development, or a BDR/SDR role.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build rapport and establish professional relationships with stakeholders.
- Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
- Experience using CRM tools such as Salesforce or HubSpot.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to conduct discovery conversations and identify customer needs.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience in lead generation or outbound prospecting.
- Experience supporting mid-market or business-to-business sales environments.
- Familiarity with financial software, accounting platforms, or technology solutions.
- Experience using sales engagement tools or prospecting platforms.
Education
Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
Pay \& Benefits Summary
Pay Rate:
$24\.86 per hour
Bonus:
Up to $1,300 per month in performance-based incentives (capped)
