Purpose Of The Position

As

Civil Superintendent

, you will respond/report to the

Lead / Manager

and be part of

Fabrication Department

within the

COMP2 Project.

How can you support us? Here are below your responsibilities:

  • Promote safe work practices and environmental protection, ensuring full compliance with HSE plans, risk assessments, lifting plans, PTW systems, and project safety standards.
  • Ensure full compliance with project quality requirements, contractual obligations, approved drawings, and specifications.
  • Develop and monitor discipline-specific construction schedules, ensuring alignment with overall project milestones and fast‑tracking strategies where feasible.
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise civil construction activities (earthworks, concrete works, buildings, camps, substations, underground works, roads and infrastructure), ensuring cost-effective and timely execution.
  • Coordinate and control direct-hire and subcontracted works, optimizing manpower, equipment, and materials while identifying needs or excess resources.
  • Monitor daily construction progress, analyze deviations versus the approved schedule, identify root causes, and propose mitigation measures or corrective actions.
  • Control production parameters, including efficiency, productivity, quantities, manhours, and cost performance, and report progress to Project Controls.
  • Lead buildability reviews, constructability assessments, model reviews, and design change evaluations to eliminate construction constraints and rework.
  • Support the resolution of technical and execution-related issues encountered during construction, including coordination with engineering, commissioning, and planning disciplines.
  • Ensure proper quantity tracking, cost estimates updates, and variation management for scope changes.
  • Manage and maintain technical and administrative documentation, including ITPs, method statements, material approvals, NCRs, and as-built records.
  • Coordinate and monitor vendors, specialists, and site support teams, ensuring seamless integration with construction activities.
  • Ensure achievement of Mechanical Completion (MC) certification, punch list clearance, and system handover in line with commissioning priorities and systemization plans.
  • Interface effectively with project management, engineering, QA/QC, HSE, commissioning, and planning departments to ensure disciplined workflow execution.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to national workforce and junior staff, promoting competency development and compliance with project standards.

What are we looking for?

Education

  • Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.

Experience

  • Minimum 10–15 years of experience in large-scale EPC oil \& gas, LNG, utilities, or industrial infrastructure projects.
  • Proven experience as Civil Superintendent / Lead Civil Construction Engineer on major projects including:
  • LNG facilities, man camps, substations, power islands, pipelines, underground utilities, and infrastructure works.
  • Greenfield and brownfield projects within live operating facilities (SIMOPS environment).
  • Strong background in:
  • Earthworks, reinforced concrete, underground services, buildings, shelters, substations, and pipelines
  • ITP compliance, pre‑pour inspections, quantity tracking, and QA/QC execution
  • Schedule recovery, fast‑tracking strategies, and productivity improvement initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multicultural teams and national workforce, with proven coaching and leadership capability.
  • Experience working with PMC / EPC contractors and managing multiple subcontractors under complex project conditions.
  • Strong coordination skills with planning, engineering, commissioning, QA/QC, and HSE teams.
  • Familiarity with HSE Management Systems, Risk Assessments, HAZOPs, constructability reviews, and lifting operations.
  • Experience operating under tight schedules, high production demands, and challenging environmental or social conditions.
  • Excellent reporting, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.
