Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and integration of predictive systems for cargo monitoring using systems engineering principles.
• Conduct comprehensive root cause analysis to troubleshoot system failures and optimize performance across manufacturing and transportation operations.
• Develop detailed project schedules, coordinate cross-functional teams, and manage project milestones to ensure timely delivery of engineering solutions.
• Utilize CAD tools such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks for mechanical design, 3D modeling, and schematic development of cargo monitoring hardware.
• Apply programming skills in Python, C\+\+, MATLAB, and scripting languages to develop algorithms for data collection, analysis, and predictive modeling.
• Perform building code analysis and ensure compliance with relevant safety standards during system design and implementation.
• Collaborate with civil, mechanical, electrical, and systems engineers to create integrated solutions that meet technical specifications and industry regulations.
• Conduct laboratory experiments, research activities, and data collection to validate system performance under various operational scenarios.
• Use 3D scanners and other advanced tools for precise mechanical design adjustments and quality assurance.
• Troubleshoot engineering issues by analyzing schematics, performing GDT (Geometric Dimensioning \& Tolerancing), and applying engineering troubleshooting techniques.

Experience

• Proven experience practicing in an industrial or manufacturing engineering role with a focus on systems or mechanical engineering projects.
• Extensive background in project management including scheduling, resource allocation, and milestone tracking within complex engineering environments.
• Hands-on experience with manufacturing processes, construction projects, or cargo logistics systems is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks for mechanical design and 3D modeling for product development.
• Strong knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), control systems, and automation technologies used in cargo handling or manufacturing settings.
• Familiarity with building code compliance standards related to industrial facilities or transportation infrastructure.
• Skilled in data analysis techniques including MATLAB or Python for research, data collection, trend analysis, and predictive modeling.
• Laboratory experience involving schematics interpretation, system troubleshooting, or prototype testing is advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams through complex projects while maintaining clear communication across disciplines.
