Job Description

Main job duties and responsibilities:

  1. Develop and sustain long-standing relationships with company-approved vendors.
  2. Implement vendor selection programs to ensure that the best vendors are secured.
  3. Ensure to track, measure, report, and evaluate vendor performance.
  4. Establish standards and guidelines for vendors, monitoring vendors to ensure these policies are being followed to assess the performance of approved vendors.
  5. Cultivate and maintain relationships with vendors by communicating with them frequently to answer questions and check their satisfaction levels.
  6. Evaluate current vendor management programs and identify ways to improve them.
  7. Help and coordinate vendor processes and methods to approve vendors.
  8. Monitor contractual agreements for all vendors.
  9. Organize and track all documentation between the company and vendors.
  10. Participate in formulating workflow processes, methods, and policies for applying vendors.
  11. Resolve vendor disputes or issues quickly and efficiently.
  12. Review current vendors and analyze if they meet current company needs.
  13. Troubleshoot all vendor problems and present to management as required.
  14. Cancel contracts with vendors that are no longer needed in coordination with purchasing section heads.
  15. Perform any additional tasks that might be necessary for easier workflow, within the mainframe of the job’s specialty.

Job requirements:

Educational background and previous experience:

  1. Suitable bachelor's degree, preferably in business administration or equivalent.
  2. Minimum 6-8 years of experience in the same field.

Knowledge and Functional Skills:

  1. Strong verbal and written communication.
  2. Action plan development.
  3. Negotiation.
  4. Assertiveness.
  5. Marketing skills.
  6. Financial and business analysis skills.
  7. Good Computer skills.
  8. Good command of written and spoken English and Arabic languages.
  9. Presentation skills.
