Job Description
This role is for a certified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner specializing in Addiction Medicine in Espanola, NM.
- Provide clinical assessment, diagnosis, and management of patients receiving Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) for substance use disorders.
- Prescribe and monitor medications like buprenorphine and naltrexone, ensuring proper dosing and adherence.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and educate patients on recovery and lifestyle changes.
- Maintain accurate documentation, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide crisis intervention when needed.
- No prior addiction medicine experience is required; training will be provided.
Qualifications include a Master’s or Doctoral degree, active state license, and at least 1 year of clinical experience, preferably in addiction treatment. Skills in assessment, communication, and teamwork are essential.
