Role Description

This is a full-time, remote Jr. Sales Development Representative (SDR) position focused heavily on outbound prospecting and cold calling within the Environmental Health \& Safety (EHS) software space. The Jr. SDR will be responsible for generating new business opportunities through high-volume outbound outreach, including 200–250 cold calls per day and strategic email engagement.

This role is ideal for someone highly motivated, competitive, coachable, and comfortable spending the majority of their day on the phone speaking with EHS leaders.

Responsibilities include identifying and researching prospective accounts, initiating outbound conversations, qualifying opportunities, handling objections, booking qualified meetings for Account Executives, maintaining accurate CRM records, and collaborating closely with the sales team to drive pipeline growth.

Success in this role requires strong communication skills, persistence, confidence under pressure, and the ability to consistently execute outbound activity at a high level in a fast-paced startup environment.

Qualifications

  • Strong interest in outbound sales, cold calling, and business development
  • Comfortable making 200–250 outbound calls per day
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with strong phone presence and confidence speaking with executives.
  • Ability to handle rejection professionally and maintain high energy throughout the day
  • Highly coachable with a willingness to learn modern outbound sales techniques
  • Strong work ethic, competitiveness, and desire to exceed performance metrics
  • Ability to quickly build rapport and uncover business pain points
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail within CRM systems
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating with a high-performance team
  • Familiarity with CRM and outbound sales platforms such as Apollo, HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar tools is a plus
  • Previous cold calling experience is a plus but not needed

Compensation \& Benefits

  • Base salary: $44,000–$55,000 annually, depending on experience
  • On-target commission: $15,000–$20,000 annually
