Job Overview:
The
Site Engineer – IT \& ELV
is a role responsible for supporting in delivering Information Technology (IT) and Extra Low Voltage (ELV) projects. This position bridges the gap between the Project Manager and technical site execution, supporting project delivery within scope, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. The Site Engineer supports the Project Manager in planning, resource coordination, and stakeholder management, while maintaining a hands-on approach to technical supervision and system commissioning.
The ideal candidate must possess an IT and ELV technical background combined with field experience in the IT and ELV projects.
Core Responsibilities:
- Planning and Execution
The Site Engineer supports the Project Manager in the project's delivery phase, in line with client requirements and technical specifications. The role involves maintaining project schedules, identifying potential bottlenecks, and implementing mitigation strategies to ensure all milestones are met. Furthermore, the Site Engineer coordinates and directly oversees the deployment of technical teams and subcontractors. The site engineer is responsible for the Testing and Commissioning activities, as instructed by the Project Manager, and supporting the Technical Team.
- Technical Supervision and Quality Assurance
A primary function of this role is supervising the installation, integration, and configuration of diverse IT and ELV systems. The Site Engineer ensures that all site activities comply with approved shop drawings, standards, and local/project regulatory codes. Through regular site inspections and technical audits, the Site Engineer provides resolution for technical challenges encountered during the execution phase.

Stakeholder Coordination and Communication
Effective communication is an important role of this position, as the Site Engineer serves as a liaison among Consultants, General contractors, MEP contractors, and Subcontractors. This involves representing the company in project progress meetings, technical workshops, and site coordination sessions to ensure integration of IT and ELV systems with other building systems and services.
The Site Engineer must demonstrate a good technical understanding of system integration, particularly how various ELV components interface within a unified IT infrastructure. Beyond technical expertise, the role demands leadership qualities, including the ability to manage subcontractors effectively under high-pressure environments. We are looking for a self-motivated person with initiative and good interpersonal communication skills.
Testing, Commissioning, and Project Handover
The Site Engineer is directly involved in the project stages, including system testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning, to ensure operational readiness. This responsibility extends to supporting the Project Manager and the Technical Team in creating project documentation, including preparing "As-Built" drawings, Operation \& Maintenance (O\&M) manuals, and warranty certificates.
