Job Summary

We are seeking a Global Brand Marketing Assistant Manager to support the Global Marketing area.

In this capacity the right candidate will help support the brand strategy, product innovation direction and go-to-market strategy. Additionally, the scope will include execution tasks tied to the Product Development operational cycle.

This role is ideal for a beauty industry professional who thrives at the intersection of product strategy, brand storytelling, and cross-functional leadership that is consumer insight driven and has deep category knowledge. S/he will collaborate closely with the Director of Global Brand Marketing to assist in the development and execution of product and brand strategies, campaigns, and new product launches.

Candidates should be enthusiastic about what we do, energetic, highly organized, great problem solvers, and initiative-takers. This role will report to the Director of Brand \& Product Marketing and is a hybrid in-office role, based in New York City, with 2 days of remote work per week.

Principal Accountabilities

Brand Strategy Development:

  • Partner with the Director on brand strategy, content planning, and campaign development—in particular, owning the creation of campaign decks and toolkits to guide cross-functional execution across Sales, Brand.com including Email and Paid Media, Comms \& Social, Education, Creative and Visual Merchandising.
  • Translate consumer insights, trend analysis, and category intelligence into product and campaign strategies that drive brand differentiation, innovation, and growth.
  • Contribute to the long-term innovation roadmap and brand-building efforts by synthesizing market trends, business performance, and competitive landscape into strategic recommendations.

Product Strategy:

  • Support the execution of the Marketing calendar and detailed growth strategy for each product
  • New Product Development Direction Setting – contribute to the development of briefs (including product trends, customer trends, competitor product analysis, product concept analysis, etc.)
  • Cross-functional Collaboration for Product Strategy – contribute to the work with Creative and Visual Merchandising, PR, social media, Sales and Education teams, etc as needed

Product Development:

  • Support the end-to-end product development process in collaboration with R\&D, Product Development, Regulatory, and Creative—in particular, gather necessary data to formalize the creation of formula and packaging briefs
  • Formula \& Clinical Testing: support the work that helps determining texture direction, key ingredients, and fragrance in collaboration with R\&D. Support the design clinical studies objectives and desired clinical claims.
  • Primary \& Secondary Packaging: help determine the packaging direction and detailed specifications.
  • Packaging design: help setting the design direction and support the briefing of creative packaging and packaging development teams
  • Help review and approve of packaging and collateral artwork, ensuring brand consistency and compliance with regulatory standards.

Product Development Program Operation:

  • Production: support Global Brand Director in the collaboration with the SCM-related departments to prepare for production meetings.
  • Support the AP-SCM cross-functional communication process with different departments, including the production planning team, packaging material purchasing team, QC team, manufacturing team, packaging team, and raw material purchasing team.
  • Carry out tasks such as pre-production and line testing for mass production
  • Support the operation of internal AP systems such as SAP, NPD, CPC, and Aplan. Note: as some of these programs are not available in English, partial support from AP will be provided.

Key Experience and Skills

Qualification and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related subjects.
  • 2-3\+ years of experience in marketing or brand management, with a focus on beauty, wellness, skincare, luxury, lifestyle or consumer products.
