NOTE: This position will be onsite in our Tempe, AZ office.

The

Senior Vice President, Smart Home Sales \& Product

is responsible for leading and developing the sales, retention, and product design functions within our Smart Home security product. This role will focus on driving sales growth, increasing customer retention, and developing innovative products and services to meet the needs of our members. The SVP will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and work closely with other Smart Home leaders to ensure alignment between operations and overall business objectives.

Responsibilities / Job Duties

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue and market share targets

+ Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats.

+ Define target customer segments and develop value propositions.

+ Establish sales goals, quotas, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

+ Establish new sales channels for growing company, including insurance relationships and dealer network relationships.

+ Develop and implement sales campaigns and initiatives.

+ Monitor and analyze sales performance, making adjustments as needed.

  • Oversee our product and pricing roadmap.

+ Define product pricing strategy for the products we provide.

+ Identify and foster vendor relationships with key product vendors.

+ Negotiate vendor pricing for our customer products.

+ Ensure distribution of product from the vendor to our warehouse is sufficient, including monitoring minimum quantities and identifying replace product for backorder inventory.

  • Lead and manage the commercial sales team.

+ Recruit, hire, and onboard new sales team members.

+ Provide ongoing training, coaching, and mentorship to sales staff.

+ Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.

+ Foster a positive and results-oriented team environment.

+ Set clear expectations and hold team members accountable.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key commercial clients.

+ Identify and prioritize key accounts.

+ Develop and execute account management plans.

+ Conduct regular client meetings and business reviews.

+ Proactively address client needs and concerns.

+ Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts.

  • Oversee the retention function.

+ Develop and implement strategies to minimize customer churn.

+ Analyze customer data to identify at-risk accounts.

+ Develop and implement retention initiatives.

+ Monitor and analyze retention metrics.

+ Collaborate with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of the commercial market and customer needs.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.

EDUCATION, COMPETENCIES, CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES

  • Minimum Qualifications

+ 15\+ years of experience in sales and leadership roles.

+ Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related.

  • Preferred Qualifications

+ MBA or other relevant Master's degree.

+ Experience in the technology or smart home industry.
