Mechanical Design Engineer

The Role

Working as part of a multidisciplinary design team, you will be responsible for delivering mechanical building services designs from concept through to completion. You'll be involved in a wide variety of projects, including hospitals, laboratories, pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities and other highly regulated environments

.This is a hybrid role, with two days per week in the Bolton office and the remainder working from home

Key Responsibiliti**

• esDesign mechanical building services systems including HVAC, heating, cooling, ventilation and domestic water service
• s.Produce design calculations, specifications, reports and technical drawing
• s.Collaborate with electrical engineers, architects and project teams to deliver coordinated design
• s.Attend client and design team meeting
• s.Support projects through all RIBA stages from concept to completio
• n.Ensure designs comply with current regulations and industry standard
• s.Assist with site inspections and technical support during construction where require

You

We're looking for someone who

• has:Experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer within Building Servi
• ces.Strong knowledge of HVAC and mechanical building services des
• ign.Experience working on healthcare, pharmaceutical, laboratory or other technically complex environments would be highly advantage
• ous.Proficiency with industry design software such as AutoCAD, Revit and relevant calculation packa
• ges.Excellent communication and problem-solving ski
• lls.A degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineer
• ing.Working towards or already achieved Chartered status (desirable but not essenti
