What we do

At Arena Physica, we're building electromagnetic superintelligence. Our AI platform Atlas operationalizes physics-grounded intelligence to verify, debug, and optimize hardware across its lifecycle. Atlas is already trusted globally by the world's most advanced hardware companies, including AMD, Anduril, and Bausch \& Lomb, for applications across R\&D, integration testing, production assembly, and field repair.

About the role

As a Product Designer at Arena Physica, you will shape the experiences, visual language, and interaction patterns that define how people work with Atlas. You will be the connective tissue between frontier AI, the people who use it, and the physical environments where Atlas is deployed. Your job is to make the complex simple, the powerful accessible, and the future tangible.

This role is for a designer who has already built real products with AI at the center. You understand how language models behave, where they break, and how to design interfaces that turn raw capability into something people trust and reach for every day. You move fast, you ship, and you hold a high bar for everything that leaves your hands.

How you will contribute

• Design and ship market-defining products - Take high-quality prototypes and product features from concept to launch across the Atlas platform.
• Advocate for users - Go deep on engineers' perspectives, workflows, and the pain points that slow them down.
• Partner across product and design - Work closely with product owners and design peers to define both long-term strategy and short-term tactics.
• Collaborate with engineers and scientists - Turn new AI techniques into scalable tools, services, and experiences that hardware teams reach for every day.
• Shape how Atlas behaves - Design interaction patterns for complex, AI-driven workflows that feel intuitive and earn trust.
• Evolve our design language - Help define and extend our design system across an ever growing product set.
• Raise the bar on craft - Set a higher standard for animation, motion, and visual craftsmanship.
• Travel domestically and internationally (10-15% of your time).
• Work in person at Arena's NYC HQ when not traveling.

You have

• 6\+ years of product design experience at an agency, startup, top technology company, or similarly demanding environment, with strong interaction and visual design skills.
• A track record of moving fast and shipping real, complex digital products that solve real-world problems, not just mockups.
• Deep fluency in Figma and hands-on experience designing through code, with the ability to move fluidly between the two.
• The ability to simplify intricate systems into intuitive user experiences, with an eye for cohesive design systems and brand expression.
• Comfort operating in ambiguous problem spaces where the right design is found through research and iteration with users.
• A high internal bar, a strong work ethic, and the drive to hold yourself to that standard without being asked.
• A collaborative and communicative way of working, the kind of person peers want to work alongside, who can articulate ideas clearly to diverse stakeholders.
• [Preferred] Demonstrated experience designing AI or LLM-powered products for technical users such as engineers, researchers, analysts, or operators, with real intuition for how these systems behave and how to make them feel usable and trustworthy.
• [Preferred] Familiarity with hardware or electrical engineering, and an interest in building AI for the physical world, where correctness, evidence, and engineering judgment matter.

The base salary range for this position is $185,000 - $225,000 yr. However, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to base salary, we also offer competitive equity and benefits packages.
