Job Description
A growing technology company is looking for a Network Engineer to help design, deploy, and support the intelligent network infrastructure powering some of the most advanced commercial buildings in the country.
You’ll be working at the intersection of enterprise networking, critical infrastructure, and smart building technology - designing and deploying the networks that power modern commercial real estate. From security systems and elevators to HVAC, lighting controls, and IoT infrastructure, you’ll help transform high-rise buildings into fully connected, intelligent environments.
We’re looking for a Network Engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, working directly with cutting-edge infrastructure, and seeing the real-world impact of their work every day.
If you’re someone who thrives in hands-on environments, enjoys ownership, and wants exposure to projects that combine networking, security, systems integration, and emerging building technologies, this role offers an exceptional long-term opportunity.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Assessing and documenting existing network environments and legacy systems
- Deploying converged network infrastructure within commercial high-rise buildings
- Migrating and integrating third-party systems and devices onto centralized networks
- Troubleshooting multi-service network environments and resolving escalated issues
- Configuring and supporting network hardware, VLANs, VPNs, wireless infrastructure, and security protocols
- Working closely with clients, vendors, and internal technical teams
- Supporting ongoing network optimization, standards, and documentation
What We’re Looking For
- 5\+ years of network engineering experience
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, the OSI model, VLANs, VPNs, and enterprise networking concepts
- Experience troubleshooting complex network environments
- Knowledge of wireless networking and security best practices
- Experience with firewalls and network security protocols (Palo Alto experience is a plus)
- CCNA certification required; CCNP preferred
- Must be open to up to 25% Travel
Why This Role Stands Out
Work on High-Impact Infrastructure
- You’ll help deploy and support converged network environments inside commercial high-rise buildings — networks that support mission-critical systems across entire properties.
Variety Over Repetition
- No two projects are the same. You’ll work across network assessments, migrations, troubleshooting, integrations, optimization, and deployments involving a wide range of technologies and third-party systems.
A Strong Engineering Culture
- You’ll join a collaborative, highly experienced technical team that values problem-solving, curiosity, and continuous learning. Engineers here are trusted with meaningful responsibility and encouraged to grow their expertise.
Career Growth
- This organization invests in long-term development, not short-term hiring. As the company continues to grow nationally, there are strong opportunities to expand your technical scope and advance professionally.
