Job Description
About the Role
Mallory Ervin, LLC is home to two fast-growing direct-to-consumer brands — In My Sundays (premium sleepwear) and Living Fully Co. (viral apparel and accessories). We’re looking for a seasoned Director of Product Development \& Sourcing to own the full product lifecycle across both brands, from concept through bulk delivery.
This is a high-impact, dual-brand role for a builder who thrives in a fast-moving environment and knows how to bring product to market efficiently. You’ll lead all soft goods development — pajamas, cut-and-sew garments, hats, and accessories — while owning the international supply chain and vendor relationships that make it happen.
Key Responsibilities
Product Development
- Own the end-to-end product development process for both brands — from initial concept and tech pack creation through sampling, approvals, inspection, and bulk production
- Build and maintain detailed production timelines across multiple SKUs and product categories simultaneously
- Create and manage tech packs, specifications, and pre-production documents with precision
- Attend all fittings; document call-outs, revisions, and approvals to ensure accurate factory communication
- Partner with the design team to translate creative vision into manufacturable product specifications
- Manage packaging development from material sourcing through final production
Sourcing and Supply Chain
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard manufacturers and suppliers that meet brand quality and cost targets
- Develop and manage ongoing relationships with offshore factories across raw materials, trims, and finished goods
- Negotiate pricing, MOQs, lead times, and payment terms to optimize cost, speed, and quality
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across cost savings, quality control, and production efficiency
- Manage international logistics from ex-factory through delivery to 3PL, including freight, customs, and compliance
- Submit and track POs for fabrics, samples, and bulk orders across all development phases
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Maintain proactive communication with design, marketing, and operations on sampling status, calendar milestones, and launch readiness
- Own the production calendar and hold the line on all scheduled product launch dates
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks across the development and production process for both brands
Qualifications
Required
- 5\+ years of product development experience from concept through bulk production, with a strong focus on apparel and cut-and-sew
- Demonstrated sourcing experience: vendor identification, negotiation, and ongoing supplier management with overseas manufacturers
- Deep knowledge of raw materials, trims, construction, and garment fit
- Proficiency in surface embellishment techniques, including screen printing and embroidery
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Suite
- Exceptional organizational skills — able to manage multiple SKUs, brands, and deadlines simultaneously
- Strong communicator across time zones, factories, and internal teams
Preferred
- Experience managing dual brands or multiple product lines concurrently
- Background in trend forecasting or market research
- Familiarity with 3PL logistics and international shipping compliance
