The

Senior Engineer – Facilities

is responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, and improvement of building systems and infrastructure to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable facility operations. The role involves managing maintenance teams, coordinating with contractors, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements, and supporting strategic facility improvements.

Responsibilities

Facilities Operations \& Maintenance

  • Oversee the daily operation and maintenance of facility systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and mechanical systems.
  • Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance programs are implemented effectively.
  • Monitor facility performance to ensure optimal efficiency and reliability of equipment and infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to building systems.

2\. Project Management

  • Manage facility improvement projects, renovations, and upgrades.
  • Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and vendors to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Review technical drawings, specifications, and project plans.

. Team Supervision

  • Supervise and guide facility engineers, technicians, and maintenance staff.
  • Provide technical leadership and training to the maintenance team.
  • Monitor team performance and ensure adherence to operational standards.

4\. Compliance \& Safety

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support implementation of QHSE policies and procedures.
  • Conduct facility inspections, risk assessments, and audits.

5\. Asset \& Vendor Management

  • Manage facility assets, equipment lifecycle, and maintenance records.
  • Evaluate and manage service contracts and vendor performance.
  • Ensure availability of spare parts and maintenance resources.

Budget \& Reporting

  • Assist in preparing and managing the facility maintenance budget.
  • Track maintenance costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Prepare technical and operational reports for management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Facilities Engineering.
  • Professional certifications in Facilities Management (IFMA, BIFM, or equivalent) are an advantage.
  • 7–10 years of experience in facilities management, building maintenance, or engineering operations.
