Regional Controller - Western US
Salary:
$150-$180k (some flex for right candidate) \+ 20% bonus
We’re looking for a strategic, hands-on Regional Controller to help drive financial performance across a multi-location region. In this role, you’ll partner with regional leadership, branch teams, and finance to strengthen reporting, improve controls, support operations, and influence business results.
This is a great opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys working closely with the business, leading process improvement, and supporting multiple locations in a dynamic environment. This role is primarily hybrid, with 1–2 days per week in the office and approximately 25–30% travel.

Responsibilities:
- Partner with regional leadership to monitor performance and identify opportunities for improvement
- Regional controller for west branches across multiple states. Responsible for oversight of day-to-day accounting operations at branches and business partnering to regional leadership.
- Strategic role about 60% accounting/40% FP\&A leadership. Responsible for closing at branches as well as forecast/budgets/Ad Hoc analysis.
- PE backed, fast paced, aggressive M\&A activity.
- Help maintain accurate financial data and ERP system integrity
- Support branch accounting staff performance and development
- Assist with audits, compliance activities, and acquisition integration as needed
- Review financial results, analyze variances, and help drive action against budget goals
- Support and train branch accounting teams on financial processes, internal controls, and ERP systems
- Monitor reporting for exceptions and follow up to ensure issues are resolved
- Oversee inventory control activities, including cycle counts and annual physical counts
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred
- CPA preferred
- 3\+ years of managerial accounting experience
- Advanced Excel skills
- Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail
- Experience in a multi-location or multi-unit environment preferred
- Strong ERP/accounting systems knowledge
- Prior Construction experience
