Field Service Engineer \| Central US \| Metrology OEM

We are working exclusively with a PE-backed, high-growth metrology OEM on a key hire for their Central region.

This business has been solving complex dimensional measurement problems for aerospace, defence and industrial manufacturers for over 20 years. Their technology is genuinely specialist, think optical measurement systems, automated tube inspection, laser profiling, real precision engineering kit used in serious production environments.

The Role

You will be the technical face of the business across the Central territory, covering pre-sale demos, installs, customer training and field troubleshooting. Real autonomy, a structured travel week and a tight-knit team that knows its product inside out.

Home base: Dallas TX, Wichita KS or Oklahoma City OK preferred Travel: around 60%, Mon out, Tue to Thu on site, Fri back home

What They Are Looking For

• Dimensional metrology or inspection equipment background (CMM, optical, tube inspection or similar)
• Aerospace or industrial manufacturing experience
• Comfortable delivering demos and training to customers solo
• IT and software confidence, you will be integrating systems into customer networks
• CAD familiarity
• US Person status essential (defence and military customers)
• Able to travel to Canada and Mexico
• Valid drivers license, 25 years or older for car rental

Ideal Background

Quality engineering, field service, applications engineering or technical support in a manufacturing or aerospace environment. Bachelor's degree preferred, Associate's or equivalent experience considered.
