Field Biologist (Field Based)

ERM is hiring experienced Field Biologists to conduct wildlife surveys in Beatty, NV. This is a full-time (60 hours/week), limited-term role for a duration of 8 weeks, extendable. RESPONSIBILITIES:* Conducting protocol-level desert tortoise surveys.

• Conducting small mammal trapping
• Electronic data collection using Field Maps and Survey123 applications.
• Working as a member of large team of biologists.
• Daily reporting.
• Other duties as assigned or required.

REQUIREMENTS:* BS degree in a natural science field of study, preferred.

• Must have or be able to obtain Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) certification.
• Desert Tortoise Council Training is a plus.
• Small mammal trapping experience a plus.
• Minimum of 1\+ years of projects that surveyed, monitored, and mitigated for target species , including desert tortoise, desert kangaroo rat, and pale/dark kangaroo mouse.

For the Field Biologist position, we anticipate the annual base pay of $73,148 – $82,290, $35\.16/hr – $39\.56/hrUSD, limited-term, non-exempt. An employee’s pay position within this range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs. We also may have instances where employee’s fall outside of the range based on the factors noted above. This job may be eligible for bonus pay (casual and fixed term/Flexforce employees are NOT bonus eligible).
