2\. About the Opportunity:
The Global Logistics Specialist is responsible for managing the efficient international movement of goods and ensuring compliance with import/export regulations. This role acts as a key liaison for customers and internal teams on shipment coordination and status updates. It supports supply chain optimization and trade compliance, contributing directly to cost-effective and timely delivery within international logistics operations. The position may also assist project managers with logistics coordination for large-scale initiatives, enhancing overall operational efficiency.
3\. Responsibilities:
- Coordinate international transportation, ensuring regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, carriers, and internal teams
- Prepare and review accurate shipping documentation
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Incoterms, HS codes, and trade requirements
- Monitor shipments and proactively communicate updates to stakeholders
- Manage carrier relationships and support rate negotiations
- Conduct audits for customs compliance and internal policies
- Partner with supply chain, procurement, and inventory teams to improve logistics strategies
- Lead and support logistics projects and process improvement efforts
- Maintain records and documentation for shipments and customs activities
- Stay informed on global trade regulations, tariffs, and market conditions
- Identify and escalate security risks and assist with remediation
- Complete required security training and comply with company policies
- Perform additional duties as assigned
4\. Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in international logistics or similar roles
- Proficient in import/export regulations, Incoterms, and HS code classification
- Strong knowledge of customs clearance and international shipping practices
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Effective communication and negotiation skills with diverse stakeholders
- Certification in logistics or trade compliance is a plus
- Must reside in the United States
