Job Description
Take2 Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Azure Cloud Engineer to support mission-critical hybrid cloud environments for a federal client. This role focuses on designing, deploying, and maintaining secure Azure-based solutions, including enclave environments, automation pipelines, and containerized workloads. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in Azure, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and DevOps practices to support scalable and secure cloud operations.

Onsite – Lorton, VA (must be within driving distance or willing to relocate)
Clearance Requirement
Active Top Secret / SCI clearance required
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy and manage Azure resources (VMs, Key Vaults, networking, and core services) using Azure DevOps pipelines
- Monitor and optimize Azure infrastructure performance and reliability
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines within Azure DevOps
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep
- Design and manage secure enclave environments within Azure
- Ensure system security, performance, and compliance across cloud environments
- Manage Identity and Access Management (IAM) policies with a least-privilege approach
- Support Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) image creation and automation
- Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters
- Automate deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications
- Troubleshoot complex cloud issues and provide escalation support
- Document system configurations, processes, and procedures
- Support automated desktop and application deployment using tools such as DSC or Packer
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5\+ years of experience in Azure cloud administration and development
- Experience working in secure enclave environments and with security compliance frameworks
- Strong knowledge of Azure services, including Azure Virtual Desktop
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, ARM, Bicep, Azure DevOps)
- Proficiency in PowerShell and scripting
- Strong experience automating Azure resource deployments
- Knowledge of YAML, JSON, and Bicep
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Ability to work onsite and travel up to 10%
Desired Qualifications
- Azure certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-305, or equivalent
- Experience with containerization and Kubernetes (AKS)
- Experience with DevOps and Agile environments
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
