Job Description

Summary

We are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to improve and support our clients’ IT systems by leading infrastructure projects, managing technical operations, and implementing modern solutions across servers, networks, cloud, and telephony. This role will design and deploy infrastructure, drive process improvement, manage vendor relationships, and provide advanced technical support to ensure high availability and efficiency for all stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead infrastructure design, upgrades, migrations, and implementations across servers, storage, networks, data centers, and cloud services.
  • Improve IT processes and systems through project management, documentation, auditing, and policy development.
  • Coordinate work between IT Operations and Systems teams to ensure the successful completion of projects and incident resolutions.
  • Administer and maintain Windows and Linux servers, Active Directory, telephony, and network hardware (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi).
  • Provide escalated technical support to users and guide Service Desk troubleshooting.
  • Manage hardware/software procurement, vendor proposals, contracts, and renewals.
  • Maintain backup systems, security tools, and business continuity processes.
  • Train users as needed and share knowledge with IT staff to improve departmental efficiency.
  • Track service desk activity and ensure timely issue resolution.
  • Directly manage assigned capital projects and budgets while maintaining confidentiality and compliance.

Requirements

  • 8-11 years supporting multi-server environments including:
  • Windows Server \& Linux;
  • Active Directory, DHCP/DNS/TCP IP;
  • LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi, switches, WAPs;
  • Data backup tools, antivirus/security platforms;
  • Microsoft services (AZURE, Exchange, SQL, IAS/ISA).
  • Experience with data centers, business continuity, and security best practices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and service desk systems.
  • Ability to work 40 hours/week including occasional evenings/weekends.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
  • Proven experience successfully managing IT projects and architecting enterprise infrastructure.

Preferred

  • MCSA/MCSE Certification
