eNGINE is seeking a Data Architect to help drive enterprise data initiatives for a leading financial institution. This individual will play a critical role in designing and building modern data architectures that consolidate information from numerous banking and financial systems into a centralized Snowflake-based data platform.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in financial services, enterprise data warehousing, and cloud-based data solutions. This person will partner closely with business leaders, data engineers, analysts, and technology teams to create scalable, secure, and reliable data ecosystems that support reporting, analytics, regulatory requirements, and strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain enterprise data architecture strategies supporting large-scale financial data initiatives.
  • Build and optimize Snowflake data warehouse environments that serve as the central repository for organizational data.
  • Develop data models, integration patterns, and governance standards across multiple business domains.
  • Architect solutions that ingest, transform, and consolidate data from disparate banking, lending, wealth management, risk, and operational systems.
  • Partner with Data Engineering teams to establish scalable ETL/ELT frameworks and data pipelines.
  • Ensure data quality, lineage, security, and regulatory compliance requirements are incorporated into all architectural designs.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting, analytics, and operational data needs.
  • Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies, tools, and best practices related to cloud data platforms and financial data management.
  • Establish standards for metadata management, master data management, and enterprise data governance.
  • Support long-term data modernization initiatives and cloud migration efforts.

Qualifications

  • 5\+ years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Warehousing, or related enterprise data roles.
  • Strong hands-on experience designing and implementing solutions using Snowflake.
  • Experience integrating and consolidating data from multiple source systems into centralized data platforms.
  • Deep understanding of data modeling methodologies, including dimensional and relational models.
  • Experience designing cloud-based data architectures and modern data ecosystems.
  • Strong SQL skills and familiarity with large-scale data processing concepts.
  • Knowledge of data governance, security, and data quality best practices.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and business stakeholders.

Required Experience

  • Financial services, banking, credit union, investment management, insurance, or other regulated financial industry experience.
  • Experience working with highly sensitive financial data and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Proven success building enterprise data warehouses that support analytics, reporting, and operational decision-making.
  • Experience architecting solutions that pull data from numerous internal and third-party systems into a unified data environment.
  • Strong Snowflake implementation and optimization experience.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
  • Familiarity with modern data integration tools and orchestration platforms.
  • Experience supporting data lake, lakehouse, or hybrid data architectures.
  • Knowledge of financial regulatory and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience leading enterprise data modernization or transformation initiatives.
