Job Description
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement policies and processes that fully comply with all relevant regulations, internal policies, and governance standards.
- Oversee the full scope of the Purchasing \& Logistics function, including planning, organizing, and directing departmental activities. Drive operational strategies and initiatives to ensure maximum efficiency and alignment with business objectives.
- Manage team performance by setting clear KPIs and development plans, regularly monitoring progress, and providing continuous coaching and support to enhance capability and performance.
- Define and manage procurement agreements based on business needs. Review purchase requests, orders, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to internal procedures. Validate invoices and resolve any discrepancies or disputes with stakeholders.
- Interpret and apply applicable laws, policies, and procedures, ensuring full compliance. Maintain well-organized and accurate records, utilizing systems to efficiently manage and retrieve data.
- Work closely with Finance, Regulatory, Tender, Procurement, and Warehouse teams to assess business requirements and implement process improvements that support operational needs.
- Prepare and maintain reliable demand forecasts by analyzing historical trends and market insights, in collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and external partners.
- Engage with suppliers to align on lead times, production capacity, and supply planning, while negotiating terms that enhance supply chain performance and cost efficiency.
- Ensure optimal inventory levels by maintaining a minimum of three months’ stock for registered items and preventing stock shortages. Escalate issues to management when required.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with suppliers and key stakeholders, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and long-term collaboration for mutual benefit.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Business Administration (pharmaceutical knowledge is an added advantage)
- Professional certifications such as CISCP, CISCM, or CISCP are considered a plus
Experience
5–10 years of experience in Supply Chain or related functions
Computer Skills
Proficiency in MS Office applications and familiarity with accounting systems
Experience with demand planning tools or advanced analytics platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, advanced Excel) is an added advantage
