The Role
As a
Mechanical Design Engineer
, you will be the bridge between a concept and a finished product. You will spend the majority of your day utilizing
Autodesk Inventor
to create high-fidelity 3D models and detailed fabrication drawings.
Your Impact:
- Custom Design:
Create detailed mechanical drawings for unique equipment used in construction, automotive, food processing, and energy sectors.
- Technical Mastery:
Develop comprehensive Bills of Materials (BOM) and fabrication prints that guide our manufacturing team.
- Collaborative Innovation:
Work side-by-side with Project Managers and Mechanical Engineers to troubleshoot design issues and refine concepts.
- Material Expertise:
Apply your knowledge of steel, aluminum, and stainless steel to ensure every part is production ready.
Qualifications
- Education:
Minimum of an Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience:
2 years of experience as a working engineer is preferred, but we value skill and performance above all.
- Software Proficiency:
Expert-level use of 3D CAD software, specifically
Autodesk Inventor
or SolidWorks.
- Technical Knowledge:
Strong understanding of GD\&T, blueprint reading, and manufacturing processes like CNC machining and laser cutting.
- Welding \& Fabrication:
A strong preference for candidates with practical knowledge of welding standards and structural fabrication to ensure designs are optimized for the shop floor.
- Precision:
A methodical approach to work with exceptional attention to detail.
