We are seeking a
Head of Internal Communications
to join our team at Prosus headquarters in Amsterdam, Netherlands. This role reports directly to the Group Chief People Officer and leads a team that includes a Senior Manager, Internal Communications, and a Director, Employee Engagement \& Communications Ecosystem. The role requires significant office presence, with potential cross-border commuter arrangements from nearby countries.
As the Head of Internal Communications, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our global internal communications and employer brand strategy. You will work closely with senior leadership, including the Board, to drive impactful communication initiatives that align with our mission and values. Additionally, you will leverage your experience in AI and technical expertise to effectively communicate complex business and technical topics to employees, ensuring alignment with Prosus' AI-first vision.
Who You Are
You’re a seasoned communications professional with a proven track record in internal communications, employer branding, and employee engagement. You’ve led high-performing teams in fast-paced, global, and matrixed organizations, and you know how to drive results across diverse teams and stakeholders.
You’ve built tools—custom GPTs, workflows, little automations—not because someone told you to, but because they made your work better. AI isn’t just something you use; it’s how you think now. A world without it feels like a step backward.
You’re a strategic thinker and a strong storyteller. Complex ideas don’t intimidate you—you translate them into clear, engaging narratives that resonate with a global audience. Internal comms isn’t just about keeping people in the loop. It’s about moving culture, inspiring action, and getting tens of thousands of people across the globe to embrace change together.
Buzzwords don’t work for you. Clear, direct, and real communication is your style. You say what things do, not what they’re called.
Ambiguity is where you do your best work. Prosus isn’t a monolith; it’s a portfolio. There’s no playbook for internal comms in the agentic AI era, but that’s what makes it exciting. Together, we’ll figure it out.
What We’re Looking For
- 10\+ years of experience in internal communications, employer brand, or employee experience roles.
- Proven expertise in leading internal change and communication strategies in global or matrixed organizations.
- Experience with employer branding, employee engagement, CEO/executive visibility programs, and change management.
- Strong stakeholder management skills across senior leaders, regional teams, and external partners.
- Demonstrated ability to hire, develop, and scale high-performing communications teams.
- Familiarity with AI and technical concepts, with the ability to translate complex topics into engaging communications.
- Preferably, experience in technology/consumer internet sectors and international/multi-cultural settings.
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field.
- Leadership capabilities: collaborating \& influencing, leading change, driving results.
- Personal traits: action-oriented, low-ego, resilient, high integrity, strong cross-functional collaborator, and storyteller.
Your Typical Day
- Set and refine the global internal communications and employer brand strategy.
- Counsel senior leaders; plan and prepare CEO/leadership visibility moments (firesides, town halls).
- Oversee and coach the internal communications team; review campaigns and content.
- Coordinate with regional communications teams (India, Europe, Latin America) for alignment and integration (e.g., post-M\&A integrations).
- Drive change-management communications for major initiatives and acquisitions.
- Leverage AI and technical expertise to craft clear, engaging narratives for employees.
- Measure impact using data/insights and adjust programs.
- Manage external partners/consultants and cross-functional projects to bring the Prosus narrative to life.
