We are looking for
a AI Scienti
st, who will work with clients in the financial sector to design and develop LLM-based solutions from early experimentation through to evaluation and delivery. You will own solution design and evaluation methodology within a project team, across a varied project portfolio.
This position can be based in Zurich or Lugano. You must be willing to work onsite at least 80% of the time. Candidates must be based in Switzerland or willing to relocate to Switzerland.
About the
- Role: Your responsibilities will span the full lifecycle of LLM-based initiatives, from early experimentation and solution design through evaluation, delivery, and continuous improvement.
- Projects may involve retrieval-augmented generation, agentic systems, fine-tuning, LLM-based evaluation frameworks (benchmarks, LLM-as-judge, error analysis), or other applied generative-AI solutions across a varied project portfolio
- You will own solution design and evaluation methodology within project teams, collaborating with software engineering, infrastructure, and domain experts to integrate solutions into enterprise ecosystems and present results to technical and non-technical stakeholders alike.
Qualifications and Skills
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent.
- 5\+ years of working experience as AI Scientist or in a similar role or PhD
- Hands-on experience building LLM-based systems (RAG, agents, fine-tuning, or similar).
- Experience designing evaluations for ML/LLM systems (benchmarks, LLM-as-judge, error analysis).
- Strong programming skills (Python, SQL) and familiarity with ML libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, etc.).
- Strong communication and presentation skills to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in English
