Sourcing Specialist

This role supports high‑volume purchasing activities across steel, fabricated metal components, and indirect supplies, with a strong emphasis on execution and accuracy. The focus is on ensuring materials are sourced correctly, costs are tracked, suppliers are effectively managed, and items are delivered on time. The position works closely with engineering, operations, and finance, handling supplier evaluations, pricing and bid comparisons, cost‑savings initiatives, and core purchasing tasks such as purchase orders, quoting, pricing corrections, and invoicing support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, engineering, finance, or a related field
• 3–5 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain roles
• Experience managing suppliers and supporting negotiations
• Hands‑on experience with spend analysis or cost comparisons
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, transaction‑heavy purchasing environment
• Experience using ERP sourcing or purchasing tools
• Willingness to travel up to 10%
• Nice to have: experience sourcing steel or fabricated components, knowledge of steel markets or manufacturing supply chains, exposure to domestic or regional steel suppliers/service centers, and certifications such as APICS, CPSM, or CSCP
