The Role

As a

Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and installing wooden structures, furniture, and fixtures. This role requires strong woodworking skills, precision, and the ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

As a member of the Engineering department, this role is responsible for ensuring that all the engineering and maintenance activities of the hotel are conducted to the highest professional standards at all times, with guest comfort and safety being the highest priority.

Key Areas of Responsibilities

Please note that the responsibilities outlined below are not exhaustive. Red Sea Global Hospitality employees continuously innovate in caring for the needs of the business, their guests, and their colleagues. As a Carpenter, you will need to:

Construction \& Installation

• Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials for furniture, doors, cabinets, and fixtures.
• Install partitions, moldings, flooring, ceilings, and custom woodwork.
• Assemble and install framework for walls, floors, and other structures.
• Ensure all carpentry work aligns with project specifications and quality standards.

Repair \& Maintenance

• Inspect wooden structures and furniture for wear, damage, or defects.
• Repair or replace damaged wood, furniture, doors, and frames.
• Perform refinishing, polishing, and touch-ups to maintain a high-quality appearance.
• Work with other maintenance staff to complete renovation or restoration projects.

Tools \& Safety Compliance

• Use hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery safely and efficiently.
• Maintain and store tools properly to ensure longevity and efficiency.
• Follow safety regulations and workplace procedures to prevent accidents.
• Wear protective gear and ensure a clean, hazard-free work environment.

Collaboration \& Project Coordination

• Work closely with engineers, designers, and facility managers to execute projects.
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and construction plans.
• Provide cost estimates for materials and labor as required.
• Complete tasks efficiently while minimizing disruptions to operations or guests.
