Financial Controller

International Controller – Fashion \& Apparel \| Los Angeles, CA

Mackie Myers is partnering with a high-end fashion and apparel brand to identify an exceptional International Controller to join their finance leadership team in Los Angeles, CA.

This is a high-impact role for a seasoned accounting leader who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Reporting directly to the VP Controller and CFO, and partnering closely with the VP of Finance, the International Controller will own the global accounting function and play a critical role in shaping financial operations across multiple international retail sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the full global accounting and financial reporting function, including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close across multiple international entities
• Lead multi-currency consolidation and FX reporting across international retail operations
• Partner with the VP of Finance on cash flow management, budgeting, and longer-term financial planning
• Prepare executive-level financial reporting and variance-to-budget analyses for the C-suite
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across financial processes, systems, and reporting tools with an emphasis on ERP (D365) and business intelligence
• Lead, develop, and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous growth
• Collaborate cross-functionally with business partners across operations, retail, and commercial teams

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred
• Background in public accounting strongly preferred; Big 4 experience a plus
• 8–12 years of progressive accounting experience, with exposure to international and multi-currency environments
• Experience in fashion, apparel, CPG, or consumer retail strongly preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) or a comparable ERP
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to present complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
• Confident navigating a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with a growth mindset and high integrity
