Job Description

ORGANISATION / DIVISION INFORMATION

As the holding company of Singapore’s public healthcare institutions, we are always looking for qualified, passionate individuals who are keen to make a valuable contribution to public healthcare. At MOH Holdings, we believe our employees are our greatest asset and we are dedicated in helping them achieve their full potential through professional development and by providing an environment to develop their leadership skills and competencies.

As MOHH's brand custodian, the Strategic Communications and Marketing Division oversees all aspects of corporate branding and communications to grow and strengthen MOHH's identity as well as to drive effective reputation management for the company. We also helm national public education campaigns to support and advance MOH's healthcare agenda for Singapore.

Join us and be part of a team - a uniquely MOHH spirit that propels us forward through every circumstance we face.

  • Acting Today for Tomorrow:

We work pragmatically with the realities of the present, with a mindset that is geared to the needs of the future.

  • Starting Where You Can:

We take a can-do approach to problem-solving, even if it means starting small, because every contribution counts.

  • Leaving No Job Undone:

We take pride in seeing things through. Our high standards means it’s not just about getting the job done, but getting it done well.

  • Moving Together as One:

Care for all starts within, with us as an organisation. We look out for one another, leaving no on behind as we grow.

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

We are seeking a capable and driven communications professional to join MOHH’s Strategic Communications and Marketing Division.

Operating within a high-visibility public healthcare environment, this role supports media relations, corporate reputation, and issues communications across internal divisions. The successful candidate will contribute to sensitive and time-critical matters, leadership communications, and strategic positioning work in a complex stakeholder landscape.

At the Executive/Senior Executive level, the role focuses on strong execution — drafting media materials, coordinating stakeholder inputs, and supporting issues management under guidance.

At the Assistant Manager level, the role carries greater ownership, including independently managing mid-tier issues across internal divisions, advising stakeholders on positioning considerations, and exercising sound judgment in escalation of higher-risk matters.

Level and scope will be commensurate with experience and demonstrated capability.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Media \& Public Communications

  • Draft press releases, media statements, Q\&As, and responses to media queries with accuracy and clarity
  • Coordinate cross-functional inputs to ensure timely and aligned public responses
  • Monitor media coverage and flag emerging reputational risks

Issues \& Sensitive Matters

  • Support the management of issues and time-sensitive matters across internal divisions
  • Draft holding statements, key messages, and stakeholder updates under tight timelines
  • For more experienced candidates: independently manage mid-tier issues, advising divisions on positioning and escalating high-risk matters appropriately

Strategic Positioning

  • Partner internal divisions to frame sensitive matters appropriately
  • Contribute to narrative development for corporate initiatives and policy-related announcements
  • Ensure consistency and message discipline across communications outputs

Leadership Communications

  • Develop speeches, briefing notes, talking points, and engagement materials for senior leadership

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or related field
  • 2–7 years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or in-house communications environments
  • Strong writing capability, with experience drafting press releases, media responses, Q\&As, or stakeholder communications
  • Exposure to issues management, sensitive stakeholder environments, or high-visibility communications scenarios
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to ensure factual accuracy, message consistency, and alignment across multiple inputs and stakeholders
  • Ability to operate calmly under pressure, manage competing priorities, and deliver high-quality outputs within tight timelines
  • Structured thinking and analytical capability, with the ability to distill complex matters into clear and coherent narratives
  • Effective stakeholder management skills, including the confidence to engage internal divisions constructively and align on communications positioning
  • For candidates considered at Assistant Manager level: demonstrated ability to independently manage sensitive matters, advise stakeholders on communications positioning, and exercise sound judgment and strong instincts in navigating ambiguity, assessing reputational implications, and determining appropriate escalation thresholds with minimal supervision
  • Level and responsibilities will be commensurate with experience.
